Stroller Walking Wednesday & End of Summer Splash Pad Party Offer Interactive Experiences for All Ages

PLAINFIELD, IN – August 13, 2025 – The Shops at Perry Crossing invites families to enjoy a full day of outdoor fun and community engagement on Wednesday, August 20, with two back-to-back events designed to delight kids and caregivers alike: Stroller Walking Wednesday followed by an End of Summer Splash Pad Party.

Stroller Walking Wednesday

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Caregivers and little ones are encouraged to grab their strollers, lace up their walking shoes, and join a community stroll through the center. The meet-up begins at the Barnes & Noble Café, where participants can grab their favorite Starbucks beverage before kicking off a scenic and social walk.

This month’s “stroller parade” route will include visits to several center favorites, including:

Dick’s Sporting Goods and Ulta Beauty
The koi pond for a group photo
Balloon pickup and bouncy balls at Old Navy
A stop by X-Golf Plainfield for a look at free games
Samples at PopaKernal Popcorn (try one of 24 daily flavors!)
A special gelato shake sample at Schakolad Chocolate Factory

The walk concludes at the End of Summer Splash Pad Party, where families are encouraged to change into swimsuits and cool off at the center’s pop-jet fountain. Towels, water toys, and sunblock are welcome!

Celebrate the season’s final stretch with splash-filled fun in Town Square, where the center’s splash pad will be activated alongside food and froyo specials from nearby favorites:

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt – $6 No Weigh Wednesday (fill your cup with any combination of froyo and toppings for $6 plus tax)
HotBox Pizza – $6.99 lunch special
Outdoor seating available, with indoor table reservations available at HotBox for birthday parties or group gatherings

The splash pad remains open daily from Noon to 5:00 PM through mid-September, offering a vibrant, free destination for family-friendly outdoor play in the heart of Plainfield.
